If you submitted your tax return after April 1st, please understand that additional processing time will be required. At this point in the season, our office is managing a high volume of clients and responsibilities.

Simply put, if your documents were submitted after April 1st, although you are important, your return was not considered urgent. We appreciate your patience as we work through each file thoroughly and accurately.

After April 15th, our focus expands beyond current-year filings. Our office wears many hats, and we begin assisting clients with:

The Internal Revenue Service announced Monday, January 26, 2026, as the opening of 2026 filing season. This year, several new tax law provisions of the One, Big, Beautiful Bill become effective, which could impact federal taxes, credits and deductions.

As we move into the final quarter of the year, it’s a great time to make sure you’re on track for a smooth and accurate tax season. Here are a few important reminders and tips to help you prepare:
Save Your Tax Documents
Start gathering and organizing key documents you’ll need for your 2025 tax filing. This includes:
• Pay stubs and W-2s
• 1099s from any freelance or investment income
• Receipts for deductible expenses
• Property tax and mortgage interest statements
• Charitable donation receipts
Keep everything in one place—digitally or physically—so you're ready when tax time comes.
Review Your Federal Withholding
Now is a smart time to check if enough federal tax is being withheld from your paycheck. This helps prevent surprises like owing taxes.
Use the IRS Withholding Estimator to check your current withholding:

Need to Update Your W-4?
If your situation has changed—like a new job, marriage, or having a child—you may need to update your Form W-4. This form tells your employer how much federal income tax to withhold.
