To start the bail bond process, a few key details are needed to move things forward quickly.

You will need the defendant’s full name, booking number, and the jail where they are being held.

In most cases, one or more co-signers are also required, along with basic information to verify employment or financial stability.

Once everything is gathered, the paperwork is completed and the bond can be posted to begin the release process.

Our team will guide you every step of the way so nothing feels overwhelming and everything is handled as efficiently as possible.

How much will a bail bond cost?

Bail bonds are meant to keep you from having to pay the full bail amount upfront. Instead, a bond premium is paid on the defendant’s behalf.

In Tennessee, that premium is typically 10% of the total bail, plus a $25 surcharge and $12 bail tax required by law. For example, a $1,500 bail would cost $187 total to secure release.

This fee is non refundable and is simply the cost of using a bail bond service, not a reflection of the case outcome. In some situations, a 15% premium may apply for out of state defendants.

We make sure everything is explained clearly so you know exactly what to expect.

When someone is arrested, a judge sets the total bail amount based on the case. Instead of paying the full amount, a bail bond allows you to pay a percentage to secure their release.

At United Bonding, we take care of the paperwork, communicate with the jail, and walk you through each step so you always know what’s happening.

Clear guidance. Fast action. Real support when you need it. 🤝
