✨️What an incredible experience at the 2025 Inner City Capital Connections (ICCC) Opening Seminar in Memphis!

I had the privilege of speaking on a panel alongside an amazing group of local industry experts—from CDFIs like Pathway Lending, Memphis Medical District Collaborative, large bank representatives from Regions Bank , Gulf Coast Bank and Trust Company and Bank of America , to local business-support organizations like Epicenter Memphis and the Black Chamber of Memphis.

The discussion was filled with valuable insights, best practices, and practical strategies to help small businesses in under-resourced communities access the tools, capital, and connections they need to scale and thrive.

I’m proud to have represented Bank of America in such a powerful conversation and to support the mission of organizations like ICIC that are committed to fostering growth and innovation for entrepreneurs.

🌟 What an unforgettable evening, a few weeks ago, at the 33rd Freedom Award Ceremony! I felt honored to witness the powerful celebration of courage, resilience, and justice at the historic Orpheum Theatre in Memphis. The event paid tribute to trailblazers , , and , who have each made a profound impact in advancing civil rights, equality, and cultural representation.

The City of Memphis "Showed Up and Showed Out" once again! did an amazing job as the host! sang her face off! I am grateful for the opportunity to celebrate these remarkable leaders who continue to inspire us all.

Congratulations Mrs. Robinson for being inducted into the American Royal's Barbeque Hall of Fame!!

At 83 years old, Desiree Robinson became the first Black female pit master to be inducted into the American Royal’s Barbeque Hall of Fame.

The 85-year-old Memphis, Tennessee, native is the co-founder and pitmaster of Cozy Corner, one of the city's most popular barbecue restaurants.
Ms. Robinson, who started the restaurant with her late husband, Raymond Robinson, has been working at the establishment for over four decades.

Exciting Event Recap: City of Memphis Initiative to Protect Local Small Businesses

This past Wednesday, I had the privilege of participating in an impactful event organized by Bank of America! The event marked the launch of a new initiative aimed at preventing criminals from targeting local small businesses. This collaborative effort brings together the City of Memphis, the Memphis Police Department, and EDGE: Economic Development Growth Engine for Memphis and Shelby County, showing a united front to support and protect our community.

We were honored to have Memphis Mayor Paul Young and the City of Memphis Police Chief CJ Davis speak at the event, underscoring the importance of this initiative. The event drew a full crowd of members from the Greater Memphis Metro area small business community, and we were pleased to see members of the local news and press covering the launch.

It's encouraging to see such strong support and collaboration as we work together to safeguard our businesses. I am looking forward to seeing the positive impact of this initiative in our community!
