This is the official page of the Marxist Student Union of the University of Memphis. With war, poverty, economic crises, sexism, homophobia, and racism, there's no shortage of discussion today. But we are a group of students who believe that a critical voice is absent from this discussion, that of working people, particularly young working people, and no voice has stood longer and louder

for working people than that of Marxism. By debating, discussing, learning from and teaching one another, we want to push today's talk in the favor of America's great many, of her tired, her poor, and her oppressed. We study Marxism as a dynamic and adaptable political force and employ it as a way to break the chains shackled to them by predatory capitalism. We are those who are ready to hope, ready to fight, ready to win. We are Marxists, and this is the Marxist Student Union!
