In 2 weeks, we will be making our way back to Philadelphia! Walker will be admitted to CHOP in attempt to transition off the TPN and move to 100% g-tube/oral feeds!

As excited as we are, the level of planning and flexibility this trip needs has been challenging to say the least. We have no idea how long Walker and Mandy will be in Philadelphia. It could be a couple weeks or it could be a couple months. But the one thing I know, is that God's got us.

Despite everything our family has been through these last few years with Walker's journey, we know we have been beyond blessed. We have witnessed the miracles firsthand. We have seen people from all over reach out with a helping hand. We have been given a community who continuously pours into our family. We would not be where we are without our community.

With all that we have been through, I set out on this career path to help other families like mine. If you or someone you know could benefit from a conversation on how to navigate through their journey, please let me know!

My oldest has gotten back into her business and is talking about what she wants to do with her earnings. It has made me realize that my kids are learning about money long before they ever open a bank account.

They're watching how we spend, save, give, and talk about money at home.

The Bible gives us timeless principles that are worth passing down to the next generation: ✅ Work hard ✅ Be generous ✅ Avoid unnecessary debt ✅ Save for the future ✅ Trust God as your provider

One of the greatest gifts we can give our children is teaching them that money is a tool to serve God's purposes, not something that defines our worth or happiness.

Those lessons may impact their future far more than any inheritance ever could.

"Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6

Fall festivals and all the holiday events are quickly approaching! Which means, it is time to bless others with those THRIVENT ACTION TEAMS! Just this past week, I have talked to two of my clients about how they are using their Action Teams to help local causes.

Not sure what a Thrivent Action Team is? Let's break it down:

Through Thrivent Action Teams, members can apply for a $250 seed grant, personalized promotional materials, and support to bring a cause they're passionate about to life. Whether it's collecting school supplies, supporting a local nonprofit, hosting a community meal, organizing a fundraiser, or helping a family in need, Thrivent Action Teams help turn good intentions into meaningful action.

I've seen firsthand how small acts of generosity can create a big impact in our community. It's amazing what can happen when people come together around a shared purpose.

At Thrivent, we talk a lot about "Live Generously," but it's not all talk...

Last night, I was able to experience a full-circle moment. I had the opportunity to serve NICU families at Le Bonheur. I cannot thank Khadija Craine, with our Thrivent Engagement Team, and my colleague, Brad Bosi, enough for their help and support in hosting this dinner.

You see, it was two years ago that I was a NICU family. As we began to understand what Walker's future would look like, I began digging into what resources were available for families like mine. Needless to say, I struggled.

So, I took a leap of faith. I decided to become a resource and join Thrivent full-time. A part of what I get to do is help families like mine understand their benefits, how those benefits work with their income/assets, planning for their futures, and also connecting them with other resources and non-profits.

When we were in the NICU two years ago, our community truly poured into us. I will never be able to repay them for what all they did, but I sure am happy to be able to pay it forward. Please pray for the families that are there now. I know they can certainly use it!
