At Thrivent, we talk a lot about "Live Generously," but it's not all talk...

Last night, I was able to experience a full-circle moment. I had the opportunity to serve NICU families at Le Bonheur. I cannot thank Khadija Craine, with our Thrivent Engagement Team, and my colleague, Brad Bosi, enough for their help and support in hosting this dinner.

You see, it was two years ago that I was a NICU family. As we began to understand what Walker's future would look like, I began digging into what resources were available for families like mine. Needless to say, I struggled.

So, I took a leap of faith. I decided to become a resource and join Thrivent full-time. A part of what I get to do is help families like mine understand their benefits, how those benefits work with their income/assets, planning for their futures, and also connecting them with other resources and non-profits.

When we were in the NICU two years ago, our community truly poured into us. I will never be able to repay them for what all they did, but I sure am happy to be able to pay it forward. Please pray for the families that are there now. I know they can certainly use it!

Many of you know that our family has walked a difficult road with our youngest son, Walker. During one of the hardest seasons of our lives, Spreading Sunshine reminded us that we weren't alone.
