2027 Canola Prices Have Been Announced

The USDA Risk Management Agency (RMA) has announced the 2027 projected prices and volatility factors for canola.

Here are the numbers for Oklahoma and Texas:

🌾 Fall Canola (OK & TX) • Projected Price: $0.267/lb • Volatility: 0.15

🗓️ Don't forget: The Sales Closing Date (SCD) for 2027 Canola is August 31.

🚨 SDRP Deadline Extended

The USDA Farm Service Agency has extended the application deadline for the Supplemental Disaster Relief Program (SDRP).

🗓️ New Deadline: September 30, 2026

If you experienced eligible crop losses due to qualifying natural disasters in 2023 or 2024, you now have additional time to submit your application.

The SDRP provides assistance for:

🌾 Stage 1• Producers with eligible crop losses that received crop insurance or NAP indemnities.

🌾 Stage 2• Producers with non-indemnified (shallow), uninsured, and quality losses, including eligible losses to crops, trees, bushes, and vines.

If you haven't applied yet, or have questions about your eligibility, now is a great time to visit with your local FSA office.

The USDA Risk Management Agency (RMA) has announced temporary relief for producers by allowing Approved Insurance Providers (AIPs) to delay interest accrual on eligible crop insurance premium payments and administrative fees.

Here's what that means:

✅ Eligible premium billing dates: July 1 – September 30, 2026

✅ Interest may be waived for up to an additional 60 days beyond the scheduled payment due date (or until the policy termination date, whichever comes first).

✅ Additional flexibility is also available for eligible Written Payment Agreements due during the same period.

This action is intended to provide additional financial flexibility as farmers and ranchers continue navigating a challenging agricultural economy.
