Your credit score matters, but some of the “credit advice” floating around out there deserves a serious side-eye.

You do not need perfect credit to buy a house, and a lower score doesn’t automatically mean you’re out of the game.

The bigger question is what’s actually *on* your credit, how it affects your mortgage options, and what, if anything, we should work on before you apply.

Think your credit isn't good enough to buy a house? Don't count yourself out!

One of the biggest mistakes I see people make is deciding they aren't mortgage ready before they've ever talked to a lender.

Spoiler: there isn't one magic credit score that determines whether you can buy a home. Different loan programs have different requirements and your credit score is just ONE piece of the qualification pie.

And please don't start randomly paying off accounts or closing cards because you thought it would "fix" your credit.

The better move is to let me look at the whole picture first.

Maybe you're ready now.
Maybe you need a plan to get there.
Either way, you'll know what you're actually working toward.

Every Saturday from June through November, you can shop fresh produce, herbs, meat, dairy and baked goods from regional producers.
