Teaching a craft we are an expert in is a lesson in patience, but it’s something I’m very passionate about. I tell clients every day “if I can share my brain to help others, then that’s what I will do to give back”

Last month I had a call with an individual that was impacted by Hurricane Helene in North Carolina. She was in a very rural area and one of few individuals that didn’t lose everything. She too was helping her community in a time of need and decided to give back her time by helping a small business owner that lost everything. She didn’t know anything about bookkeeping, but she knew enough and had to patience to figure it out.

We bonded over that sentiment and went to work.

It’s what experts do - we come together when it matters the most!

I’m doing something I don’t like doing - leaving the comfort of my home and putting myself in the middle of a bunch of people.

The nerd in me is excited to talk accounting and business, the neurodivergent anti-social introvert is screaming RUN!

Is this normal? ABSOLUTELY!

To add to it, I brought my conversational pieces because I’m not afraid to face hard conversations - how does everyone feel about the changes from an industry leading tech platform is making?

Collaboration within the industry… it continues to amaze me and make me proud.

I’m in the accounting (bookkeeping) industry. I am NOT a tax preparer or financial advisor- and will continuously remind my clients of this.

I have met with countless different ‘industry related’ professionals because relying on experts with their own unique set of knowledge is simply in the best interest of the client.

I have referred a few clients to Kyle Thompson- Leetown Advisors because he has a very unique background and expertise!

In 2020, clients needed a different perspective and strategy. I referred Kyle!

As I help clients position themselves in a pivotal financial situation within their bookkeeping I refer them to Kyle.

Yesterday, I had another full circle conversation with a client and the repeated phrase was spoken “we don’t know what we don’t know”. BUT that’s only part of the story.
