IT'S MAY!!

This month marks a meaningful milestone for so many young people and their families—and we're right there celebrating (and reaching for the tissues along with you).

For us, it feels especially unique. Our two kids—who I'm incredibly proud of—are just 15 months apart, which means we've experienced graduation season two years in a row. It's everything you'd expect: exciting, bittersweet, emotional…that mix of deep pride and the heart-squeeze that comes when one chapter closes and another begins.

Now Jason and I find ourselves stepping into a new season as empty nesters. Pickleball has already made the list, but we're definitely open to more ideas. 😊

Come August, they'll both head off to UCF in Orlando, and our home will get a little quieter—leaving behind two very proud (and slightly emotional) parents.
Here's to new beginnings—for all of us. 🎓

The annual Mayor's Breakfast is always a fun time: city updates, some great jokes and lots of laughter. Maybe an awkward laugh here and there but all the participants did a great job!

I was very proud to sponsor the photos this year for this signature event.

So very grateful for opportunities to talk to women about financial health. Budgeting is not a sexy topic but it leads to fantastic results when you give each dollar a job!

Michelle Tracy and the women that helped with this event are a force to be reckoned with! Great job ladies. Runway to Resilience: Women of the Space Coast

💼 Why I still carry physical business cards—and always will

I received a call today that started with:

"You don't know me, but we met at ___ X years ago. We sat at the same table. You gave me your card, and I kept it because I thought I might need your help someday. Well… that day has arrived."

That brief interaction—one I didn't even remember—turned into a meeting booked today. Years later.

Completely unexpected.

A little context: I'm not someone who hands out business cards the second I meet someone. There's usually a reason—or a moment. This wasn't a traditional networking event. Most attendees were there to hear the speaker, sent by their employer, and not especially open to casual conversation.

Those rooms aren't always easy—especially for an introvert like me. But I showed up. I drove the distance. I started conversations. I made a connection.
And years later, I was the person this individual reached out to when they needed guidance.

Sometimes all it takes is showing up and being yourself. And someone holding onto a card unusually long, but I'll take it. For those building something - Keep showing up!
