Feeling stuck, stressed, or low? Moving your body can help more than you might think... even a little goes a long way! šŸ’™

Research shows that regular exercise can reduce symptoms of depression, improve sleep, and boost overall mood. And it doesn’t have to be intense. Walking, stretching, or even doing chores can make a difference.

The key is consistency. Even 10–15 minutes a day can help you build momentum and start feeling better over time.

Your ACA Marketplace premium probably went up this year. You're not imagining it.

For the past few years, extra financial help called the enhanced premium tax credit lowered Marketplace premiums for a lot of people. That help ran from 2021 through 2025 and expired on January 1, 2026.

Now the older rules are back, including the "subsidy cliff."

Here's how it works. If your household income goes above 400% of the federal poverty level, you no longer qualify for a premium tax credit. For 2026, that line sits around $62,600 for one person and $84,600 for two.

Older, middle income households have felt this the most. A 60-year-old couple earning about $85,000 sits just over the cliff. Their estimated yearly premium for 2026 could reach roughly $22,600, close to a quarter of their income.

If you're not sure where you stand this year, here's what can help:

- Review your options during open enrollment
- Compare plan levels, since a higher deductible plan might lower your monthly cost
- Estimate your income carefully before you enroll
- Talk to a licensed agent about your specific numbers

The subsidy cliff is real, and it can be steep. But you still have options. We are here to help!

Croffles (Croissant + Waffle) with Seasonal Toppings)

If you’re looking for a fun treat that feels special but is incredibly simple, Croffles might become your new favorite. This croissant-meets-waffle mashup gives you crisp edges, soft buttery layers, and endless topping options. It’s great for brunch, a quick dessert, or a weekend family activity.

Ingredients:

1 tube of refrigerated croissant dough (or 2 bakery croissants, sliced open)

Cooking spray or butter

Seasonal toppings: berries, citrus slices, honey, powdered sugar, chocolate drizzle, or whipped cream

Directions:
Preheat your waffle iron.

If using dough, roll the croissant triangles as usual. If using baked croissants, gently flatten them.

Lightly grease your waffle iron.

Place the croissant inside and cook for 2–4 minutes, or until golden and crisp.

Finish with your favorite toppings. Warm berries, a touch of orange zest, or a drizzle of honey work especially well.

Croffles are a small reminder that treats don’t need to be complicated to feel special. Give them a try and add a little warmth to your mornings ā˜•āœØ

Did you know your eye doctor might spot signs of a health issue before your primary doctor does? šŸ‘ļø According to clinical guidance from the American Optometric Association, a comprehensive eye exam can help detect signs of more than 270 systemic and chronic health conditions, including diabetes and high blood pressure, sometimes before other symptoms even show up.

That's because the blood vessels and nerves in your eyes can reveal a lot about what's going on in the rest of your body. It's a great reminder that eye exams aren't just about updating your glasses prescription; they're an important part of your overall health picture. 🩺

Vision insurance can make it easier to keep up with these routine exams year after year, along with helping cover the cost of glasses or contacts.

When's the last time you had a comprehensive eye exam? If you need vision coverage to get you there, we can help.

Falls are one of the most common and serious risks facing older adults—but they are also one of the most preventable. Every year, millions of seniors experience a fall, and many of these incidents happen when no one else is around to help. Fall monitors, also known as personal emergency response systems, are changing that. These devices provide round-the-clock monitoring and instant access to help at the push of a button, and many now include automatic fall detection to contact help even if the user can’t. šŸ†˜

While Original Medicare typically does not pay for fall monitors, many Medicare Advantage plans offer supplemental benefits that may help cover the cost. Medicare also provides preventive services—like annual wellness visits and fall-risk assessments—that work together with fall-monitor technology to keep seniors safer and more independent. šŸ”

For older adults who want to stay in their homes longer, or for families wanting added peace of mind, a fall monitor can be a life-saving tool.

If you’re wondering what types of fall-prevention benefits your Medicare options may include, we can help you review your plan choices and understand what support is available.

Reach out today to explore your Medicare options and stay protected. šŸ’¬
