A home equity loan is a great way to fuel an investment or home remodel. But keep in mind, credit cards can creep up on 28% or more. Balance transfers to zero percent are not free. Feel free to reach out and we can run a blended rate comparison to see if a home equity loan is a good fit!

With the market beginning to shift to favor buyers, make sure you are really approved. Do you have a property under contract, but your lender has gone dark on you? No updates, slow to return calls, their confidence in your approval seeming to wane? Step back into the limelight, Nations would be happy to celebrate your win with you! 😁

Lots of investment options out there. Few are as stable as investing in your primary home, which factoring in the tax deductions, often times lowers the actual cost of your monthly housing expense to less than what it would cost to rent.

You may think it is easy and you are ready to buy a home. Best way to go is to meet with a mortgage advisor and go through the process of pre-approval weeks before making an offer. This may end up being one of the largest financial decisions of your life - you do not want to rush in without carefully making your plan.

For those of you who want to maximize your investment potential, but are not working with a lot of money down - consider living in 1 unit and renting out the other 3 - and receiving income credit for the rented units. This is a recent change to the conventional Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac guidelines, requiring a lot less down than ever before!

Check this one out - nice little villa in Medford, sitting on the golf course, has its own vineyard, even.

In this crazy market, it isn't enough to email an online lender and obtain a 15 minute pre-approval. It often times won't carry weight when your offer is up against several others. Make a real loan application with a human, not a bot, really learn what you are able to qualify for - don't wait until the last minute.

I always have time to take a second look if you want to confirm your buying power - Nations has more lending options available compared to most of our competitors.
