As part of last week's strategic planning session, our board members and leadership team visited the Port of Virginia to learn more about the growth of Virgina's agricultural exports and hear about the infrastructure that helps connect producers to global markets. We began with a roundtable discussion at Virginia State University's Randolph Farm, followed by visits to Turner Family Farms and Spiers Farm in Dinwiddie County. Thank you to Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, the Virginia Grain Producers Association, Virginia Farm Bureau Federation and the VSU College of Agriculture for partnering with us on this meaningful event.
We are grateful to the farmers, researchers, and industry leaders who shared their perspectives and helped foster important conversations about the future of agriculture in Virginia.
