I used to think good intentions were enough.

Then I built a business — and learned that intentions don't hold up under pressure. Systems do.

The families I work with are the same way. They have every good intention: keep the business running if something happens to them, make sure the kids are taken care of, leave something behind. But intention isn't a plan. And hope isn't a strategy.

I'm the Strategist. My husband's the Builder. Neither one of us works without a system — and neither one of us works without a plan we actually wrote down instead of just thought about.
