As male employees were drafted during WWI and WWII, women volunteered to take "men's" jobs in great numbers. Around the nation, women tellers, cashiers, officers, and more proved they could do the work, like these tellers in 1947 at a branch in San Francisco's Chinatown for American Trust Company, now Wells Fargo. What an amazing piece of our history!
