Headline: The Retirement "Grip" You Didn’t Plan For 🛡️🏠
Did you know that nearly 70% of people turning 65 today will need some form of long-term care in their lifetime?.
In 2026, long-term care isn't just about nursing homes. It's about having the choice of where and how you receive help as you age. Whether it’s staying in your own home with a professional aide or moving into an assisted living community, long-term care insurance (LTCI) provides the financial flexibility to decide.
Why consider LTCI now?
Protect Your Nest Egg: In 2026, nursing home costs can exceed $11,000 per month. LTCI helps prevent these costs from depleting the savings you've spent a lifetime building.
Relieve Your Family: 80% of in-home care is currently provided by unpaid family members. A policy allows you to hire professional help, letting your loved ones remain family, not full-time caregivers.
Stay at Home Longer: Many modern policies cover home modifications such as wheelchair ramps or safety equipment that help you age comfortably in your own house.
Tax Advantages: Your premiums may even be tax-deductible, depending on your age and filing status.
⏰ When is the "Sweet Spot"?
The best time to look into coverage is typically between ages 55 and 65. Waiting longer can lead to much higher premiums or even denial due to new health conditions.
Don’t leave your "golden years" to chance. Let’s build a plan that protects your legacy and your peace of mind.

Grateful for the opportunity to wrap up an incredible journey with our Trustworthy Selling class at the home office in Cincinnati.
What started back in September came full circle with a two-day capstone, where I had the chance to meet the people who truly run the company, connect in person with my classmates, and learn directly from leadership.
A big thank-you to our guest speakers Nick Vorholt and Matt Loveless for sharing real-world insight and experience, and to our amazing instructors Elaina Dall and Meghan Kaskoun for their guidance, encouragement, and commitment throughout the entire program.
This experience reinforced the importance of trust, relationships, and doing business the right way. Proud to be part of a company that invests so deeply in its people.

Headline: Why an Emergency Fund is Your Financial "Seatbelt" 🚗💨
Life is full of "what-ifs." What if the car breaks down? What if there’s an unexpected medical bill? What if your job status changes?
In 2026, an emergency fund isn't just a luxury it’s a necessity for financial survival. Here is why you need one:
Stops the Debt Cycle: Without cash on hand, most people turn to high-interest credit cards for emergencies. A fund lets you pay in cash and move on without interest payments.
Protects Your Investments: You won't have to sell your stocks or dip into retirement accounts when the market is down just to pay for a new furnace.
Buys You Time: If you face a job loss, a 6 month cushion gives you the freedom to find the right next role, not just the first one available.
Peace of Mind: There is no substitute for the feeling of knowing "I’ve got this covered".
💰 How much do you need?
The Starter Goal: Aim for $1,000 or one month of essential expenses.
The Gold Standard: 3 to 6 months of living expenses.
The 2026 Adjustment: If you’re a freelancer or in a volatile industry, aim for 9 to 12 months.
🚀 Pro Tip: Keep this money in a separate High-Yield Savings Account (HYSA). It stays out of sight (so you aren't tempted to spend it) but remains accessible when a true emergency strikes.

The Often Overlooked Tool in Your Kit
…the regular old brokerage account
We talk nonstop about 401(k)s, Roth IRAs, HSAs — all the usual suspects.
But honestly? One of the most powerful investing tools is the one nobody gets excited about:
A simple taxable brokerage account.
Here’s why it deserves way more attention:
🔓 No limits
Put in as much as you want, whenever you want.
No caps. No rules. No waiting for the new year to “refresh” your contribution limit.
🕒 Use the money whenever
Need cash for a down payment, business idea, or life happening out of nowhere?
You can sell and withdraw with zero penalties. It’s your money — not the IRS’s to control.
💵 Not as “tax‑unfriendly” as people think
Long‑term capital gains and qualified dividends usually get better tax treatment than your regular income.
And you can decide when to take gains or harvest losses. Lots of flexibility.

💡 Bottom line
A brokerage account is simple, flexible, and honestly one of the easiest ways to start building real wealth — especially after you’ve filled your retirement buckets.

Insurance + Investing = Offense and Defense for Your Financial Life

Building a solid financial plan isn’t about choosing one strategy over the other. It’s about balance.
Insurance works as your defense.
It helps protect you against the unexpected so one tough moment doesn’t derail everything you’ve built.
Investing is your offense.
It’s how you grow your money over time and move closer to the goals that matter to you.
Both sides play a role—and when they work together, your financial plan becomes a lot stronger.
If you want to see what your own offense and defense could look like, let’s talk.
