SeaComm has funneled $50,000 in donations into the community thanks to a grant received from the Federal Home Loan Bank of NY (FHLBNY).
Organizations receiving funding include:
$10,000 – Louisville Volunteer Fire Department
SeaComm donated $10,000 to help the Louisville Fire Department purchase a new truck. The department, comprised of 40 volunteer members, continues to fundraise for essential equipment upgrades that will better support their ability to protect the community.
$10,000 – St Lawrence Power and Equipment Museum
SeaComm donated $10,000 to the St. Lawrence Power and Equipment Museum to support the construction of a new building on the museum grounds. The museum features historic buildings, interpretive displays, artifacts, and demonstrations, preserving and teaching the history of how people lived during the earliest settlements in the North Country.
$10,000 – River Hospital
SeaComm donated $10,000 to River Hospital to support the rural hospital’s operations and their mission to deliver vital patient centered healthcare that is both compassionate and comprehensive.
$5,000 – Homeward Bound Adirondacks
SeaComm donated $5,000 to Homeward Bound Adirondacks to support the construction of their new Veterans Center at their property in Malone. This retreat facility will be a haven where veterans can seek solace and healing from the psychological impacts of combat.
$5,000 – Police Activities League of Massena
SeaComm donated $5,000 to the Police Activities League (PAL) of Massena to support their programs, place, and professional staff that provide children with a safe environment for academic and personal growth.
$5,000 – North Country Veterans Association Inc
SeaComm donated $5,000 to the North Country Veterans Association to support their mission of helping veterans through programs and services, including providing emergency food, a museum, library, and an area to meet.
$2,500 – Akwesasne Cultural Center
SeaComm donated $2,500 to the Akwesasne Cultural Center to help support their library, museum, and gallery that serve to educate and uplift Akwesasne heritage.
$2,500 – Volunteer Transportation Center
SeaComm donated $2,500 to the Volunteer Transportation Center to support their efforts to provide rides to appointments and services to members of the community who have no other transportation alternatives.
