Two days in Scottsdale with the advisors who represent the highest expression of what this mission was built to develop.

The Advanced Group has spent years developing the academic and behavioral foundation that defines this community at its highest level. That commitment brought them to Scottsdale this week to go further, to deepen the conviction that can hold under market pressure, sharpen their understanding of how science based investing can help serve families, and hold each other to the standard that separates this community from the rest of the industry.

The work that happened in this room this week can now show up in the lives of the families these advisors serve. The Advanced Group represents the best of what this community produces. We are grateful for the standard they hold and the families they help protect because of it.

Everything we build, everything we pursue, every freedom we exercise in this country rests on a foundation paid for by those who never came home.

We do not take that lightly. Behind every family we serve, behind every advisor in this community, behind the American Dream itself, is a debt we can never fully repay to the men and women who gave their lives to make it possible.

On this Memorial Day the Matson Money family pauses to honor their sacrifice with the reverence and gratitude it deserves.

We remember. Always.

A few weeks out from Nerd Camp and the depth of those conversations has not left the room.

Two days built around the two pillars that define this community. The academic science that governs how capital is deployed and the behavioral science that governs how advisors lead clients through the moments that test everything they stand for.

Mastery in both is what separates an advisor who performs in good markets from one who protects clients through every market. That standard is what brought this group to Scottsdale and what they are carrying back to the families counting on them.

Nerd Camp concluded in Scottsdale with two days of work centered on the conviction that defines this community.

Conviction in this profession demands mastery in two distinct areas. The academic science that governs how capital is deployed and the behavioral science that governs how human beings respond when markets test their beliefs. Neither is sufficient without the other. Together they form the foundation of an advisory practice capable of serving clients at the highest level, through any market environment, without compromise.

These are the advisors families deserve. Two full days of scientific and academic excellence to strengthen our foundation in helping to protect families from speculation and gambling.

Americans are outsourcing their financial futures to an industry that can profit from their confusion. In 1991, Mark Matson believed the academic evidence would change that. It didn't. Thirty-five years later the noise is louder than ever.

The advisors who are committed to protecting their clients aren't waiting for the industry to change. They're building a conviction so grounded in academic evidence that the noise simply doesn't reach them.

Nerd Camp was built for those advisors. April 23-24 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Two immersive days designed to deepen your understanding of the science and data behind everything we do.

The battle for financial freedom begins in the mind, not the market.

The investor who understands this is fundamentally different from the one who doesn't. One reacts to every headline, every prediction, every shift in sentiment. The other operates from a philosophy grounded in academic evidence that no amount of noise is likely to pe*****te.

That is the standard Matson Money has held since 1991. An investor grounded in academic evidence and genuine conviction can be beyond the reach of the forces designed to exploit them.

03/26/2026

In 1991 Mark Matson believed that once advisors saw they were gambling with their clients' money, they would stop.

Thirty-five years later the industry remains unchanged.
The advisors inside this community are not.

That has always been the Matson Money mission. Not to reform a broken industry, but to help protect families from it. To identify the advisors willing to stand against the enemies of the American Dream and dedicate their practice to helping save families from speculation and gambling.

Not every advisor will make this choice. The ones who do can change everything for the families they serve.

Weeks out from Warrior Week and this message hasn't left us.

The best financial plan in the world can mean nothing if the family falls apart. Often the greatest risk to families isn't a market crash, it's losing sight of what the money is actually for.

The American Dream is defined by what you build, protect, and leave behind for the people who carry your name. Too often, modern culture celebrates individual success while overlooking the foundation everything is built on.

Money should serve the family, not the other way around. At Matson Money, that principle guides everything we do.

WARRIOR WEEK DAY 3

Day 3 advanced with the same expectation: discipline, resilience, and evidence over emotion.

We were thrilled to welcome Marlena Lee and the Dimensional Fund Advisors team. Marlena spoke about the research supporting disciplined, evidence-based investing: the approach that advisors working with Matson Money rely on to help guide families away from the speculation and market timing that Wall Street often sells. Understanding this research helps equip advisors to keep families focused when uncertainty rises and fear takes over.

The afternoon blended intellectual sharpening with physical conditioning and intentional reset. Even a quick dance break reminded everyone that endurance depends on rhythm as much as intensity.

WARRIOR WEEK DAY 2

Leadership in financial services is often about making a prudent call when clients are terrified and every instinct is telling them to do something imprudent.

Day 2 put our advisors through training designed to strengthen that muscle. Recognizing behavioral traps, staying disciplined when volatility hits, and making decisions based on evidence, not emotion. These are the situations advisors often face when markets turn.

We were thrilled to be joined by Nick Freitas, who spoke about courage and accountability as daily choices, and the willingness to stand for what's right when the easier path is staying quiet. Advisors face that choice constantly in a financial industry often built to exploit fear.

Another day, another step toward excellence.
