We had a great time participating in the Mason City Chamber Golf Day at Highland Golf Course! Thanks for Rob, Taylor, Jamie and Michelle for representing NICCU!

The event brought together local businesses, community leaders, and organizations for a day of friendly competition, conversation, and connection. Just like a credit union, golf is a little better when people come together, support one another, and enjoy the journey along the way.

Thank you to the Greater Mason City Chamber of Commerce for putting on another great event and to everyone who helped make the day a success. We always enjoy opportunities to spend time with the people and businesses that help make North Iowa such a great place to live and work.

Shout out to the Sukup guys who were so fun to play alongside. Though the use of fruit by the foot to make their shot a little better makes their score questionable.

Now the only question is: who’s taking credit for the best shot of the day?

Thank you to Captain Logan Wernet and Sergeant Steve Klemas of the Mason City Police Department for taking the time to speak with our staff about fraud prevention, current scam trends, and robbery preparedness.

While these topics aren't always easy to discuss, staying informed is one of the best ways to protect ourselves, our members, and our community. We appreciate their insights and the important work they do every day to keep our area safe.

A friendly reminder: Never share your financial information, online banking username, password, security codes, or one-time verification codes with anyone. If you receive a call, text, or email creating a sense of urgency and demanding payment or personal information, take a moment to verify before responding.

If you ever receive a call claiming to be from the credit union and are asked for sensitive account information, hang up and call us directly at 641-424-2281. We're always happy to help you confirm whether a request is legitimate.

When it comes to fraud, a little caution can go a long way.
