This Labor Day, we’re celebrating the people who work hard to build, strengthen and support our communities, just like the hardworking tradespeople and labor union members who helped start NICCU 70 years ago

NICCU will be closed on Monday, September 7th for Labor Day. We’re open our normal drive-thru hours on Saturday, and we’ll resume normal business hours on Tuesday, September 8th.

While you’re enjoying the long weekend, have you tried depositing a check through our new online banking? It’s super simple, convenient, and can save you a trip (and some gas!) driving to the credit union. Give it a try next time you have a check to deposit!

We are aware of a phishing scam circulating that is impersonating North Iowa Community Credit Union (NICCU). Some members have received fraudulent text messages and phone calls claiming to be from NICCU and asking them to verify account activity.

Please know: NICCU’s systems and member data have NOT been compromised. This is a phishing attempt designed to trick you into providing personal or account information.

⚠️ Scammers are spoofing NICCU’s phone number, which means the call or text may appear to come from a legitimate NICCU number—even though it does not.

Remember: NICCU will never ask you to provide sensitive member information through an unsolicited phone call or text message.

Please remember:

❌ Do not reply to suspicious text messages.
❌ Do not provide your account number, password, PIN, verification code, or other personal information.
❌ Do not call a phone number provided in a suspicious message.
❌ Even if the number displayed looks like NICCU’s number, it may be spoofed.

✅ If you receive a message or call that seems suspicious, contact NICCU directly using a phone number you know is legitimate. We can help verify whether there is an issue with your account.

If you have already responded to a suspicious message or provided information, please change your password and contact us immediately so we can help protect your account.

We appreciate everyone who has brought these messages to our attention. When in doubt, stop and contact NICCU directly.
