Dear Customers,

We incorporated AKL exchange on our banking platform in June , 2021 on the request of our key investors to support the growth of Africa through the Lumi initiative especially as a cushioning measure for COVID-19.

When we began, we noticed a lot of issues such as the over-rating of AKL against the USD in the minds of beneficiaries, the unpalatable attitudes of some of the acclaimed staffs/reps of Swifin toward our support, the attitudes of the beneficiaries who consider our kind act as their rightful inheritance amongst others.

The funds used to support AKL exchange were provided for by our investors and were more of a charity than a business as AKL had no international acceptance/value. We made that known to our customers but the understanding we expected from them was never forthcoming.

We suspended exchange in December,2021 when we noticed some lags in swifin platforms, which continue unabated.

Due to several unclear issues surrounding AKL, we have sought the approval of our investors to remove AKL from our list of currencies, which has been approved.

Henceforth, AKL exchange is suspended indefinitely. If there is any change toward this, we will notify you customers accordingly.

We regret any inconveniences this might have caused you. All other transactions are not affected, while we continue to provide you with better seamlessly digital financial services.

SERVICE DISRUPTION IN SOME COUNTRIES
It has come to our notice of service disruption (with screen display of account suspension) in some countries due to our present internal system upgrade been carried out to give our customers seamless services.

We regrets the inconveniences the disruption might have cause to our numerous customers in the affected countries.

Normal services will be restored in the affected countries as soon as the upgrade is complete.
