But every now and then, the community gets a reminder that he’s also an artist, even if he’ll be the first one to make a joke and act like it’s no big deal.

Thank you, Tapshot, for recognizing Doug’s work and letting him help bring these Longview icons back to life.

At SIG, we’re proud of Doug not just for what he does with a paintbrush, but for the way he leads.

That same heart, humor, humility, and love for this community shows up across our whole team.

Today, we pause for the ones who never made it home.

Across every national cemetery, every flag, every note of Taps, there is a name, a family, a story, and a sacrifice that still echoes.

Here in East Texas, we know many of those stories by name.

To the men and women who gave everything, and to the families who have carried the weight of that loss, we remember you.

We honor you this Memorial Day.

And we will never take your sacrifice lightly.

Most folks know our very own Doug Heard as the insurance guy.

This week, Longview knows him as the barefoot zebra painter.

Doug’s been helping bring the Tapshot giraffe and zebra back to life, and honestly, this may be the most East Texas thing we’ve seen all month.

At SIG, we usually help protect homes, vehicles, businesses, farms, and families.

But every now and then, a zebra needs a little coverage too. 😉

Can’t wait to see these two Longview staples ready for their big debut at Tapshot.

🚨 DoorDash drivers 😮 you might not be covered.

This catches a lot of folks off guard here in Marshall and East Texas.

When you’re delivering food using your personal vehicle, your personal auto insurance policy may not cover you the way you think it does.

DoorDash (and other delivery apps) have their own coverage rules buried in the contractor agreement, and depending on when an accident happens, there can be gaps.
