Starting TOMORROW, March 5, 2026, new federal rules will dramatically limit something called “mortgage trigger leads.”

What does that mean for you?

In the past, when a lender pulled your credit for a mortgage pre-approval or application, the credit bureaus could sell that information to other lenders. This often resulted in dozens of calls, texts, and emails from companies you never contacted.

Beginning this week, that practice is largely being restricted by law.

✅ More privacy for homebuyers
✅ Fewer unwanted calls and texts
✅ A smoother, less stressful mortgage experience

When you apply for a mortgage, you should be able to work with the lender you chose—not spend the next week blocking unknown numbers.
