Check out the latest updates to Marquette's e-bike policy! All classes of e-bikes are now permitted on the city's multi-use trail, provided they are powered by motors under 750 watts. City staff and police are also creating an ordinance prohibiting reckless riding.

As more e-bikes hit the path this summer, remember to ride responsibly. Slow down in busy areas, yield to pedestrians, announce yourself when passing, and stay alert to your surroundings.

A 2025 study from the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety found that using your phone’s Do Not Disturb feature can reduce smartphone use while driving by 41%.

Parents, remember to model good behavior for your teen drivers by turning the feature on anytime you are driving. Because no text, alert, or notification is worth a life.

It’s important to keep roofs clear of heavy snow to reduce the risk of structural collapse, sagging, or leaks.
