Sometimes it takes hearing someone else’s story to realize how quickly life can change.
A few weeks ago, I heard about a family who lost their husband and dad unexpectedly.
He went to work like he always did.
He had plans for the weekend.
Bills to pay.
Kids to take care of.
A wife who thought they had so many more years ahead of them.
There was no warning. No time to prepare. No opportunity to sit down and figure out what would happen financially if he wasn’t there.
He was simply gone.
And while his family was trying to process the heartbreak of losing him, they were also forced to think about things no grieving family should have to worry about immediately.
How are we going to pay the mortgage?
What happens to the car?
How do we cover the funeral?
Can I afford to take time off work?
How do I take care of the kids and keep everything going?
That’s the part about life insurance people don’t always think about.
It isn’t about expecting the worst.
It’s about loving your family enough to prepare for a possibility you hope never happens.
Because when you lose someone you love, the last thing you should have to worry about is whether you can afford to keep the life you built together.
I know life insurance isn’t always fun to talk about.
There are groceries. Kids. Car payments. Vacations. Sports. Unexpected expenses. Life is expensive.
But if your family depends on your income, your presence, or your ability to provide…
You have something worth protecting.
You don’t have to have a huge policy. You don’t have to have everything figured out. You just need to start the conversation.
Because none of us know how much time we have.
But we can decide what we leave behind for the people we love.
Protect your family today, because tomorrow isn’t guaranteed.
