It is with great pleasure that we recognize the eighth-grade students from Marlette Jr./Sr. High School who participated in the 57th annual America & Me Essay Contest. The students' essays on 'My Personal Michigan Hero' showcased their experiences and honored someone who have had a lasting impact on their lives. The top three essays were Aria Bednaryczk in first place, Ashton Kinsman in second place, and Skyler Kolakowski in third place. All participants received certificates in recognition of their exceptional work. Aria Bednaryczk's winning essay advances her to the state-level competition. We also appreciate the efforts of Ms. Prill, the 8th-grade English teacher, in supporting her students.
