Our Build-a-Bed event brought together SMCU staff, families, and community members to work side by side to make a difference in the community. From building each bed to sharing laughs and lending a helping hand, it was a wonderful reminder of what we can accomplish when we come together.

A new chapter begins at St. Mary’s Credit Union. 💙
We’re proud to welcome Brenda Diepold as SMCU’s new President and CEO, effective October 5.

Brenda brings 32 years of banking experience, including the past eight years in senior leadership at HarborOne Bank. She joins SMCU with extensive experience in strategic growth, organizational transformation and community-focused financial services.

Longtime SMCU leader Jim Petkewich will remain with the Credit Union as Special Advisor to the CEO and Board through his planned retirement in February 2027. Jim has served SMCU and the MetroWest community for more than 20 years, providing critical leadership and continuity throughout our recent merger with MetroWest Community Federal Credit Union.

Fraud can happen to anyone, but a few simple habits can help protect your personal and financial information.

In this edition of Tim’s Tips, Tim shares a few ways to stay one step ahead of scammers:

• Be mindful of what you share online.
• Don’t click on links or attachments from suspicious emails or text messages.
• If something doesn’t seem right, contact your bank or credit union before taking action.
