If it feels like you’re drowning in credit card debt, you’re not alone. High-interest debt has a way of sneaking up on you, but a solid game plan can make all the difference. Here are a few quick tips:
▪️Pay more than the minimum payment when you can
▪️Make minimum payments on lower interest debt to allocate more money to high-interest balances
▪️Explore debt consolidation options for more manageable payments (and potentially lower interest rates)

Wondering what the timeline for paying off your credit card debt is? Use our credit card payoff calculator to see how your monthly payments impact your payoff timeline and your interest: https://ow.ly/ivfl50ZtCMG

✨ The answer is E! ✨

Your credit score matters more than you might think; it tells lenders (and sometimes even landlords) how responsible you are with borrowing money.

If you’re building your credit score, here are a few things to keep in mind:
✔️ Making payments on time is the biggest factor in determining your credit score.
✔️ Only apply for new accounts you really need; too many inquiries can lower your credit score.
✔️ Keep your balances low compared to your limit. (It’s recommended that you use less than 30% of your total credit.)
✔️ Leaving paid-off accounts open can show that you have a long history of responsibly handling money.

If it’s your first time away from home and you’re juggling a new job, new expenses, and maybe even classes, we have a few tips for you!

▪️ Budget off your take-home pay, not your gross pay. Taxes, benefits, and deductions may reduce your paycheck by more than you expect.
▪️ If you work inconsistent hours or have tipped income, budget based on your lowest expected paycheck, not your best one. Anything extra becomes a bonus!
▪️ Watch out for “invisible spending” like subscriptions.
▪️ List out your bills and their due dates and identify which of your paychecks needs to cover each.
▪️ Check your balance before the weekend. Unexpected plans can eat through your hard-earned money fast!

Before you move away from home, take a moment to build a game plan to make the most of your new job!

With heavy hearts, we share the loss of our friend and coworker, Carmen Gibson. Carmen's caring spirit, dedication to others, and commitment to our customers made a difference every day. Carmen will be deeply missed.

As we gather to celebrate Carmen's life and allow employees the opportunity to attend funeral services, the Kendall and Norwalk branches will be closed on Friday, August 7, 2026. The Wilton Branch will be open from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, and Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs) will remain available at all locations from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

We appreciate your patience, understanding, and support as we honor Carmen's memory and keep Carmen's family, friends, and loved ones in our thoughts during this difficult time.
