Why Do We Celebrate Labor Day?
Labor Day is a time to honor the social and economic achievements of American workers and recognize the contributions that have shaped our nation’s strength, prosperity, and well-being. Born out of the labor movement of the late 19th century, the holiday stands as a reminder of the fight for fair wages, safer working conditions, and reasonable hours.
In observance of Labor Day, Afena Federal Credit Union will be closed on Monday, September 1st. We will be open on Saturday, August 30th, and will reopen on Tuesday, September 2nd. As always, you can access your accounts anytime with online and mobile banking.
We wish you a safe and meaningful Labor Day weekend.
