If you still have some back-to-school shopping left to do, today’s your last chance to take advantage of Ohio’s Sales Tax Holiday.

The holiday runs through 11:59 p.m. Sunday, August 9th, and qualifying purchases include:

• Clothing priced at $75 or less per item
• School supplies priced at $20 or less per item
• School instructional materials priced at $20 or less per item

So if backpacks, notebooks, new clothes or a few last-minute classroom supplies are still on your list, today could be a good day to finish that shopping.

Check the Ohio Department of Taxation’s full rules before you buy, since not every item qualifies.

Heads up for anyone who uses our Barks Road ATM:

Repaving of the parking lot is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. Sunday, which means access to the ATM will be limited until Monday morning.

We’re sorry for the inconvenience while this work is being completed.

In the meantime, Pillar members can use our Kenton Avenue ATM or the United Federal Credit Union ATM to access their Pillar accounts without a fee.

Tonight was a great night for Marion.

Thank you to everyone who helped bring the Marion Open back to our community, and congratulations to tonight’s winning corps, Gold from San Diego.

We hope everyone had as much fun as we did, from the 1,100+ ticket holders in the stands to the hundreds of talented musicians who traveled from across the country, and even Canada, to share their skills with us.

It took a lot of people working together to make tonight possible, and we’re proud to have been part of it.

Some Pillar members have received pink postcards claiming there’s a “time-sensitive” issue involving their mortgage.

These postcards are not from Pillar. The senders use publicly available mortgage information to mail thousands of notices like this and make them look urgent or official.

Don’t call the number or provide any personal information. You can simply throw the postcard away.

When Pillar needs to contact you about your mortgage, we’ll communicate through our official channels. When in doubt, contact us directly using the phone number on our website.

We know how much teachers give to their classrooms every year, and a lot of the time that even means spending their own money to make sure students have what they need. We appreciate all you do for the kids in our communities, and we’d love to help in a small way with a Pillar Pencil Pack.
