I pray that no one will need my assistance today or the rest of the week but thought that I would share the best steps to turn in a claim if you are impacted by weather today or later this week. Remember, I should be your 1st contact to turn in your claim. I cannot assist, or advocate for you if needed if I don't know you have turned in a claim.

1. Call, text, or email me at the contact info below.

2. Please describe the kind of damage you have or suspected.

3. Leave contact information where the adjuster can contact you. Both phone and email is preferred.

4. Once I turn in the claim, I will give you your claim number. Keep that in case you need to call the adjuster directly later on in the process.

5. Reach out to a LOCAL contractor to have them come and look at your damage and give you an estimate. If the storms are significant, "storm chasers" from out of town will show up in your neighborhood or city to try to get your business. BE EXTREMELY CAUTIOUS!!!! They are here today and usually gone tomorrow and don't guarantee their work or are impossible to reach after the job is done.

6. BE PATIENT!!!! If there are significant impacts, adjusters will be taxed to their max capacity. They will try to get to you as soon as possible. Remember, if someone has been displaced, they will work that claim first. Be kind and give some grace. It goes a long way!
