Marion’s first bank, the Bank of Marion, was established in January 1894. The Bank of Marion served the area until December 1902, at which time the First State Bank of Marion was incorporated and took over the business of the Bank of Marion. In 1922, the First State Bank of Marion changed to the First National Bank of Marion and in 1941 was reorganized and became the Marion State Bank (“Bank”). Th

e first office was opened in 1942 in Scandinavia, followed by Bear Creek in 1943. In 1991, an office was established in Iola and offices were opened in both Tigerton and Bonduel in 1998. The Pulaski office opened in 2001 followed by the Shawano office in 2006. In 1995, the Bank began offering investment services. Premier Investment Services offers a full range of financial planning and investment services to over 500 clients partnering with Linsco/Private Ledger, the largest independent broker/dealer in the U.S. The mission of Premier Investment Services is to provide all of its customers with unbiased and consistent financial advice and planning services to help meet their financial goals. In 2000, the Bank’s wholly owned subsidiary, Independent Financial Services (“IFS”), acquired the insurance accounts of Henschel Insurance Agency. IFS is a full-service, independent insurance agency, representing over 20 insurance companies and serving over 1,000 customers. The mission of IFS is to provide all of its customers with an insurance protection plan to meet all insurance needs. In July 2000, the Bank changed its name to Premier Community Bank, to better reflect the identity of the Bank as full-service financial service provider serving many communities. Premier, which has been used as the name of many of the Bank’s products, describes the Bank’s position in the locations it serve – the premier financial institution in the community. Community service and dedication describe not only our role, but also our responsibility. Together, these words describe who we are – Your Premier Community Bank. In July 2000, the Bank also moved into a new main office facility at 230 Mavis Road in Marion. The expanded facilities allow the Bank to more efficiently provide the financial services its customers demand. The Bank’s investment and insurance services are conveniently located at the full-service banking facilities, providing customers with an opportunity to handle all of their financial needs in one location. In June 2003, the Bank constructed a new facility for the Pulaski office. The office is located at 745 U.S. Hwy 32 in Pulaski. In addition to providing banking services, the Bank has leased space to an attorney and an accountant at this location, furthering its role as a financial center in the community. In September 2006, the bank constructed another new facility for the Shawano office. The full service office is located at 1273 South Main Street, at the intersection of Highway 22 & B. In January 2012, Independent Financial Services (IFS) changed its name to Premier Insurance Services. This name change helped unify all of the services that we provide to our customers. In September 2012, Premier acquired four new offices from Baylake Bank of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. The offices located in Fremont, King, Manawa, and Waupaca complement our exciting offices in offering financial solutions to our customers. In January 2013, Premier Insurance Services purchased the Rodgers Agency, a well-known and respected insurance agency in the Pulaski area. The acquisition increased the staff and widened the insurance options available to its customers. Premier Community Bank currently serves the communities of Marion, Shawano, Pulaski, Iola, Manawa, Tigerton, Bear Creek, Waupaca, Winneconne, Weyauwega, and Fremont. Our mission is to provide customers with financial solutions!

🚨 Red Flag: They Tell You to Pay a Certain Way
Scammers often insist you pay using unusual or hard-to-trace methods—like gift cards, wire transfers, cryptocurrency, or payment apps.
⚠️ “Buy gift cards and send me the numbers”
⚠️ “Wire the money right away to fix the issue”
These payment methods are nearly impossible to recover once sent—and that’s exactly why scammers use them.
✅ Be cautious of anyone demanding a specific payment type
✅ Never send money or share payment details under pressure
✅ Verify requests directly with a trusted source
Legitimate businesses won’t demand payment this way. When in doubt, stop and double-check. Stay informed and stay protected. Learn more here: https://trst.in/rNCo0n
