We honor the life and legacy of our former President and Chairman, Gordon Guess, whose dedication to The Peoples Bank and the communities we serve left a mark on both.
Gordon dedicated thirty-five years of service to the Bank (1972-2007). Following in the footsteps of his father, Neil Guess, who organized The Peoples Bank in 1945 and opened its doors in 1946, Gordon continued a family legacy that helped shape our organization.
In addition to his leadership at the Bank, Gordon was involved in civic and community organizations. He served a six-year appointment to the Board of Directors of the Louisville Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank in St. Louis in 2002. He was also a member of the Community Bankers Association of Kentucky and the Kentucky Bankers Association.
Gordon's leadership, friendship, and dedication to community banking have left a lasting impact on our Bank and on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Gordon's family, friends, and loved ones. We are grateful for the many years of leadership and service he gave to the Bank.
