Team Spotlight: Chandler Johnson

We’re excited to welcome Chandler Johnson to the Biltmore team as our very first Roving Commercial & Personal Lines Account Manager! Chandler brings a strong work ethic, a passion for helping others, and a positive attitude that makes her a great addition to our team.

A fun fact about Chandler: she was born and raised in Brooksville, Florida, and if she could have any superpower, it would be the ability to talk to and understand animals! 🐾🦜

When she’s not working, Chandler enjoys 📚 reading, 🎬 watching horror movies, 🌳 spending time outdoors with her family, and celebrating her favorite holiday, 🎃 Halloween. One of the most interesting things she’s learned recently is that koalas have fingerprints that are remarkably similar to human fingerprints! 🐨

The Atlantic hurricane season is underway, and now is the time to make sure you're ready before a storm threatens. Taking simple steps today can help protect your family, home, and finances later.

Hurricane Preparedness Tips:

✅ Review your insurance coverage to ensure it reflects current replacement costs.
✅ Secure flood insurance, as flood damage is not covered by standard homeowners policies.

We're proud to see Andy Kuchar, President of Biltmore Insurance Services and Centerline Insurance Company, featured on FreightWaves Today, sharing valuable insights with transportation and logistics leaders across the country.

Andy addressed an important issue many businesses overlook: the risks of relying on contingent coverage and third-party Certificates of Insurance (COIs). His message was simple but powerful: when you see the word contingent, ask questions. Coverage that depends on secondary triggers may not provide the protection you think it does. ⚠️

He also highlighted that most COIs state they "confer no rights upon the certificate holder," reinforcing the need to fully understand what's actually covered before a claim happens.
