With the market shifting in the mortgage world, some companies will buy your data (directly from the credit bureaus). In the mortgage industry this is considered a very deceptive, low level tactic, to gain business.

This is done to confuse or manipulate consumers into locking a loan with a different company thinking this is from the mortgage company they were already working with.

This text was sent to a client of mine within 24 hours of a credit pull - notifying them their file was assigned directly to them (A company and loan officer the client has never spoken to or made contact with). Luckily my client at Amy Bell Mortgage Girl, Affinity Home Lendingwas warned that this may happen.
