Quick question to those of you with health insurance: Off the top of your head, what are your monthly premiums and annual deductible?

If you don't know these 2 things, then how well do you actually know your policy? Are you actually covered? Do you know your agent's name? Do you even have an agent? Wouldn't you feel better knowing the answers to these questions?

We are just about 2 weeks into open enrollment, have you found the right health care plan for you/your family? Are you sure? The ACA has greatly increased the prices for monthly premiums AND the annual deductibles, while also somehow increasing subsidy amount. That money has to come from somewhere, and there is no guarantee that they will continue offering throughout the entire year. Don't get stuck with high monthly premiums AND an outrageous deductible. There are nationwide PPO plans with NO annual deductible and aren't subject to the whims of the government. Schedule a time to see just how much you could be saving each month, while also increasing your coverage:

Cloud VOIP phone, text message, and email marketing automation software for call centers and sales agents. Engage your leads and maximize your revenue with our CRM platform.

Happy open enrollment! I hope everyone had a great Halloween! But, do you know what’s spookier than Halloween? Paying too much for your health insurance! Don’t be tricked by the ACA this year. Let’s schedule a time to look at all options, both on and off the marketplace, and make sure you have the best coverage at the best rates!

Open Enrollment is just around the corner! Don't get caught up in it and end up with the wrong coverage for your situation. A few things to remember while picking a health insurance policy:

Be sure that whoever you are dealing with, is a licensed agent. There will be tons of telemarketers, short-term agents, and scammers calling this time of year.
Know what type of network you will be on. HMO/EPO will be zip code based. Meaning, that if you travel outside your zip code for treatment, your visit will most likely be considered out-of-network. PPO networks offer the greatest coverage of the options and are accepted in most, if not all, states.
What is the annual deductible? Even if you find a plan that only costs you $100 a month, but has an $8,600 deductible, you will be paying for EVERYTHING out-of-pocket until that deductible is met. You will be paying almost $10,000 EACH year, before the plan starts paying any benefits. An option with a $300/month premium but NO deductible would save you thousands each year, comparatively.
If you are uncertain if a plan is a good fit for you/your family, please reach out and we can take a look at it together. We can also compare any current plans to what all is available both on and off the public marketplace. Don't get stuck this open enrollment paying for a plan that doesn't offer you the coverage you need.

Are you stuck paying high monthly premiums for a plan you never reach the annual deductible on, and are left paying out-of-pocket for every doctor visit, prescription, lab/test, etc.? Are you limited to your zip code for coverage, otherwise your visit is considered out-of-network and the insurance company pays nothing? There are newer, better options available to you on the private market that aren't advertised and have exclusive rates available to those who qualify. NO annual deductibles that have to be met before the plan starts paying benefits, meaning your insurance is actually usable upon being approved. Let's take a look and see if you qualify, and see just how much you could be saving while also increasing your coverage.

To those of you currently with an ACA marketplace health insurance plan: Increase of premiums notices are either currently on their way to you in the mail, or will be mailed out soon. If you are healthy and currently on an ACA plan, you are already paying too much each month for your health coverage. After you receive that premium increase letter, you will be paying even more. This doesn't have to be the case though.

There are private health insurance plans out there, that reward people based on their health. Think of it like this: say you have a spotless driving record. No accidents, no tickets, nothing. And let's say I have multiple DUI's, moving violations, super speeder tickets, etc. Do you think it's fair for you to pay the same amount in auto insurance as me? It absolutely is not. So why should a healthy individual be stuck paying the same ACA monthly premiums as someone who has had a stroke, multiple heart attacks, has been to rehab multiple times for drug/alcohol abuse? Or have to pay increased premium rates to make up for those out there who can't afford to pay their premiums and are getting HUGE government subsidies and YOUR premiums for their coverage? You shouldn't.

Those ACA plans also, generally speaking, have limited HMO networks. You are stuck using doctors/facilities in your zip code and anything outside of your zip is considered out-of-network. Give me a call, shoot me a text, or send me a message on here, and lets take a look at some other options to get you and your family they coverage they actually need, and at a lower cost than an ACA plan.

Any small business owners out there: Are you able to offer health coverage to your employees? What about for even just yourself? If your answer is “no” to either of those questions, give me a call and let’s take a look at some affordable options for both yourself, as well as your employees. Even if you can’t offer health coverage to your employees, I’m sure you’re still concerned about their health and well-being, you can always point them my direction.

The open enrollment for ACA plans ended at midnight this morning. Unless you have a qualifying event, the next enrollment for the ACA will be Nov 1-15. Even if you sign up for one of these plans, they won't start until Jan 1, 2022. That is quite a long time to go uninsured. However, there are still private options that have no enrollment period, and will also save you money (assuming you qualify). I can help shop all other available plans, so reach out if you are still in need of coverage.

Just licensed to sell in the state of Louisiana! That makes the 5th state I have been licensed in. Wonder which state will be next?

The special open enrollment for ACA health insurance plans is coming to an end on the 15th. If you are still in the market for affordable health care, now is the time to do it. Even if you think you already have it "covered", I can take a look at any existing plans and make sure it's best for you and your family. And if it isn't, I can help you shop all plans available to you in your area. With this new variant of COVID, and how everything else is going right now, you don't want to leave your health and well-being up in the air and just assume you have good coverage.
