Because of the generosity of our members, staff, and the community, each quarter the CoVantage Cares Foundation board is able to distribute funds that support basic needs, financial literacy and education, and community enhancement projects and programs. Since our founding, we have awarded nearly 600 grants and invested more than $5 million into our communities.

CoVantage Credit Union is pleased to announce that Matt Kaudy has officially assumed the role of President and Chief Executive Officer, becoming only the fourth CEO in the credit union’s 73-year history.

Kaudy brings more than 20 years of credit union leadership experience. Throughout his career, Kaudy has remained deeply engaged in community service, supporting organizations focused on youth development, financial education, and children’s health. He looks forward to becoming active in the communities CoVantage serves.

Join us in congratulating Charlie Zanayed on his retirement and celebrating his remarkable service to CoVantage Credit Union.

Charlie began his journey with CoVantage in October 2013 as Executive Vice President and Chief Retail Officer, later stepping into the role of President and CEO in January 2017. His tenure has been defined by strong leadership, strategic vision, and an unwavering commitment to CoVantage’s mission and its member-owners.

During Charlie’s leadership, CoVantage experienced significant growth, expanding from approximately $1 billion in assets, 80,000 members, and 280 employees to more than $4 billion in assets, over 183,000 members, and more than 500 dedicated employees.

“We are deeply grateful for Charlie’s leadership and the lasting impact he has made on CoVantage, its member-owners, and its employees,” said CoVantage Board Chair Mike Windberg.

Charlie’s legacy is one of distinguished service, meaningful growth, and a deep dedication to the communities CoVantage serves. We wish him the very best in his well-earned retirement.

After 13 years of dedicated leadership, President & CEO Charlie Zanayed will retire in 2026, leaving a legacy of growth, service, and an unwavering focus on members. At the same time, we are pleased to welcome Matt Kaudy as our next President & CEO beginning June 1.

This transition reflects thoughtful planning and a continued commitment to putting members first, today and into the future.
