Good news for homebuyers.
Starting March 4–5, 2026, the Homebuyers Privacy Protection Act will help stop one of the most frustrating parts of applying for a mortgage, the flood of spam calls many borrowers receive after a credit check.

This new law limits the sale of “trigger leads,” meaning more privacy and fewer unwanted calls for people applying for a home loan.
A big step forward for homebuyers and for lenders focused on relationships, trust, and doing right by clients.
