Juneteenth is a day to mark freedom, resilience, and the ongoing journey toward equality for all.

Did you know that even though Juneteenth became a federal holiday in 2021, its roots go back to June 19, 1865? That's when enslaved people in Galveston, Texas were finally informed of their freedom - two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation. They were the last to learn that they were freed.

So from our family to yours, Happy Juneteenth!

For many families, summer isn't just a break. It's a time to reflect, recharge, and sometimes, make a big career move.

If you're a teacher considering a job change this summer (whether that's a new district, a new role, or a new path altogether), you cannot overlook the potential impact on your retirement accounts. You'll need to understand how your transition will affect rollovers, your savings strategy, and more.

But with the right guidance, it doesn't have to be overwhelming!

We put together a blog breaking it all down:

We're halfway through 2026, and if your financial goals from January aren't exactly going to plan, you aren’t alone!

Between rising prices, inflation, and all the curveballs life throws our way, it's been a tough year for a lot of families. But here's the great news: You don't have to wait until January to start fresh. The middle of the year is actually the perfect time to hit the reset button.

In this month’s blog, I'm sharing some simple, practical ways to reassess your money goals and set yourself up for a strong second half of the year. It includes how to adjust goals when life gets in the way, quick wins you can start this week, and how to build a plan that actually sticks.

Take a look, and let me know what you think!
