Respectfully… that’s not how this works. 💀

A girlfriend having health insurance and being financially protected are TWO very different things.

Your health insurance may cover the hospital bill, but who’s covering the deductible, missed paychecks, mortgage, and everything else life doesn’t put on hold?

Being insured doesn’t always mean being protected. 👏

Every time someone tells me, “I’ve already got health insurance AND life insurance.” 😂🛁

That’s great! But neither automatically replaces your paycheck when an illness or injury keeps you from working.

That’s where supplemental insurance comes into the conversation.

Please help us welcome Monica Hiniker to The Cohrs Agency & Transparent Financial! ❤️

Monica is a Mankato native, military/veteran wife, full-time caregiver, mom of three, professional car-karaoke performer, coffee bringer, hug giver and — according to her family — loyal, determined, loving and just the right amount of sassy. 😉

But what really brought Monica to our team was personal.

After learning how our policies work, she immediately thought about the years following her husband Matthew’s accident and how different those difficult months could have looked if their family had this type of protection in place.

Her response was simple:

“If only we would have had this.”

And once that thought took hold, she couldn’t let it go.

Monica wants to help families avoid having to simply “figure it out” when life changes overnight. She’s especially excited to serve veteran caregivers, military families, independent contractors, hairstylists, barbers and families throughout our community.

She originally thought maybe she’d find herself a simple little job at a bookstore.

Apparently she forgot who she was dealing with. 😂

What an incredible night of Blingo for the JZ Cancer Fund! ❤️

The Mankato Area Foundation put on an amazing fundraiser last night, and Michelle and I were honored to be invited to help out — and somehow I even walked away a Bingo winner! 🎉 And Michelle? She won the raffle! 🎉

But the best part of the night wasn’t winning anything. It was looking around the room and seeing just how many incredible people showed up.

The people who organized it.
The people who shared their stories.
The businesses and community members who donated.
And every single person who simply showed up to support a great cause.

It truly takes a village, and nights like last night remind me that we have one of the very best right here in the Mankato area.

One of my favorite parts about building The Cohrs Agency is that giving back isn’t something separate from what we do — it’s woven into it. Our agents get to be part of fundraising and community events that ultimately help put money into the hands of people who need it most, right here at home.

Michelle and I had an absolute blast at Blingo, but more importantly, we left with very full hearts.

Thank you to everyone who poured their time, talent, money, stories, and hearts into making last night happen. This is what community looks like. ❤️

I spent the day feeling like Ed McMahon and Sherlock Holmes rolled into one. 😂
