If you’re wondering about the MCCA fund refund, the deadline is May 9th. Business Auto policies will get refunded first (those have gone out already) and then farmers 2nd. Those with only a personal auto policy, will their refunds last but by May 9th. The refund is based on the vehicles that were insured with liability coverage, at least, on October 31st. Storage vehicles get no refund.

Farm Bureau now offers a new way to save money on your insurance. It’s called FB Drives. All you have to do is let us know you’d like to try it. You download an app on your phone and it just runs in the background (I’d suggest you have an unlimited data plan). I was in on the trial and it’s very simple to use, you just need to have your phone with you when you’re on a “trip”. A trip is any start & stop. 1 mile up to unlimited miles. I now have the “real” app on my phone as does my husband. When you first sign up you get a 12 1/2% discount. Then, just keep going. It tracks your driving…if you’re a good driver the discount keeps adding up, as much as 35%!! After one year, it will calculate your driving habits and tell us what your discount is. If you’re a passenger in a vehicle and not the driver, you can change it. I’ve signed a few people up, my first client is 89 years old! He doesn’t drive much so that will get him a discount too.
If you’d like an auto insurance quote, I can add FB Drives and bam! 12 1/2% right off the top. If you’re a current insured I can add FB Drives to your policy, at renewal! (Don’t wait until after it renews.)

Manistee Armory Youth Project. These kids are in the culinary program. The tall young man in the back is Farm Bureau Agent, Josh Gray. Agent Matt Knizacky in front of him. MSU Participants are on the television.  There are so many programs available to kids through the Armory to keep them busy during the summer. They also have basketball clinics.
