Getting ready to host Thanksgiving? A little planning goes a long way. A few clever tricks can make the day easier and more fun.
Stage your space for flow. Move a few chairs or rearrange furniture so people naturally gather where you want them (and stay out of the kitchen while you’re cooking).
Create a “drop zone.” A basket by the door for coats and bags keeps your space organized and clutter-free as guests arrive.
And when you’re ready to wrap things up...switch the vibe by turning off background music, clearing a few dishes, or mentioning that early morning you’ve got tomorrow. Guests usually get the hint, and you’ll be cozy on the couch before you know it.
