I wanted to share a win. Family was on 1 policy for their cars, but one of the drivers had a “slightly blemished” driving record. They came to me to see if I could help lower their insurance. Ran a few scenarios and was able to save them over $3000/year. Obviously those numbers are not typical; but if you are curious to see if I can help you save money I’d be happy to check!

We love helping our community! We were a sponsor of the 9th Annual Bob Gilman Fun Run – Ski & Snowboard Race. Despite a very snowy forecast, they had close to 200 racers ranging in age from 4 to 90 who showed up with incredible energy and enthusiasm.

⚠️ Important Flood Insurance Update (NFIP) ⚠️

As many of you may have heard, the risk of a U.S. government shutdown on January 31, 2026 has increased due to recent developments in Congress. Because the House is not scheduled to return until after the funding deadline, the chances of a shutdown are higher — and this could directly impact NFIP (FEMA) flood insurance.

The National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) operates under FEMA, which falls within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). If DHS funding is not approved by the deadline, the NFIP may be unable to:
✅ Issue new flood policies
✅ Process renewals

What this means for you:
If you are buying a home that requires flood insurance or you have an NFIP policy renewing around that time, we strongly recommend planning ahead.

The good news: we work with multiple Private Flood Insurance carriers and can help ensure you stay covered — even if there is a shutdown.

📞 Please reach out to me with any questions or if you’d like me to review your flood policy renewal date.

Insurance Tip 🏠
If your mortgage gets sold to a new company, don’t forget to call your insurance agent or carrier to update your policy.

Why it matters 👉 your renewal and billing notices must go to the correct mortgage company. If they don’t, it can cause delays, force-placed insurance, or coverage issues.

A quick call now can save a big headache later!
