Wondering where your property taxes fit into your monthly mortgage payment?
While property taxes are a separate expense from your loan, many homeowners don't pay them directly. Instead, if your mortgage includes an escrow account, your lender collects a portion of your estimated annual property taxes each month as part of your mortgage payment. When your taxes are due, the lender pays them on your behalf.
That means your monthly mortgage payment may include, principal, interest, property taxes, and homeowners insurance (if escrowed). Have questions? Reach out at 603-479-5449
