Real Estate Scam. A client’s property was listed on Zillow as vacant lots for sale. People showing up looking around. They are having a difficult time getting the listing removed. If you see lots for sale on Zillow for a great low price, it is most likely not legitimate. It may be a good idea to register your property with the county to be alerted of any unusual activity concerning your property. Received a lot of Earthquake Coverage inquiries today, understandably. Home -Property Insurance does not offer coverage for Earthquake or Earth Movement of any kind. Most companies will offer this coverage by endorsement; however, it can be costly. Due to this mornings event, most insurance companies have put a moratorium in place. Contact your insurance agent to find out about the availability and cost to you. It may be something to consider. I’m always happy to answer any questions you may have.

WHY DO MY INSURANCE PREMIUMS KEEP GOING UP?

There are multiple global and domestic factors impacting the increase in insurance costs affecting your Personal and Commercial insurance policies.

Extreme weather-related catastrophic events- In the past few years, we have seen an increase in the severity of these devastating events. Here in the US alone we have incurred $$ Billions in Property damages.

Social Inflation- Refers to societal trends that push inflation costs above the overall inflation rate. There has been an increase in litigation funding with a rise of anti-corporate culture. Additionally, there has been a significant increase in personal lawsuits filed overall. Amid these trends, lawsuits are resulting in unprecedented Liability judgements being awarded by the courts.
