Scam Alert: Over the last 2 days a few of our customers have been receiving texts stating they had a parking citation. The link leads you to a very convincing page that appears to be that MASS DOT and or the MASS RMV site with an amount that needs to be paid. Please share this link on your site so everyone is aware that this is a phishing scam and you put yourself at risk if you follow through. The amount is minimal in both cases is was $6.99 and lets be honest there isn't a municipality in the Commonwealth writing tickets for such a small amount. Please warn the elderly as well, and those not on Facebook.

Please feel free to call us at 781-322-AUTO or 781-324-HOME or email us at [email protected] Please check on the elderly and neighbors in need, make sure the vents to your houses and the houses around you are clear of snow, snowdrifts happen in minutes. If you are feeling energetic, there is a fire hydrant within a 1,000 feet of your house, your local fire fighters would love it if you dug out the hydrant so they don't have to. Let them save that energy for any emergencies. Be safe everyone and there's 25 days til spring.

Plenty of concerns with the upcoming sub zero weather and impending snowfall predicted. If you have elderly parents or neighbors be sure to check on them often. Put the heat up a bit more than usual, this should be the light fluffy stuff but power outages still can happen. Charge phones, batteries, have candles ready (dont forget matches or a lighter) when snow piles up especially the light stuff, snow drifts can happen. (Think blizzard of 78’ for some of us) make sure you clear all the vents on your foundation and or exterior walls. Carbon Monoxide is the silent killer never use your oven to heat your house. If you have CO2 detectors make sure you have fresh battery back ups if they are plug ins. Never run your vehicle inside your garage, even with the door open. If you are worried about freezing pipes, set them to drip 💧 but be careful those water and sewer costs add up quickly.

We get calls from time to time about what a violation can do to a someone with a license under the Junior Operator law /designation in Massachusetts. I beg anyone reading this to click on the link and learn what a single speeding ticket does to a Junior Operator, this is for drivers under the age of 18 who are newly licensed here in Massachusetts. This isn't a money grab by the police or insurance carriers, this is a safety issue period. In 29 years of business I have seen personally the awful results of youthful operators and inexperience and what can happen when a new driver isn't taking the rules of the road seriously. Please read this and share this with your children and anyone who has a youthful operator in the home.

Massachusetts introduced a new plate to the mix recently. Celebrating 250 years of independence, so of course as an Independent agent we had to get one. Where does the fee go you may ask? The additional 2 year fee of $40 will be funding history education for students, historic site preservation, tourism efforts, and local celebrations related to the anniversary of America's independence. If you are one of our clients and wish to order a new plate feel free to give us a call, you are free to do so, this is what it's all about right? Freedom and being free from those brits after all.

A year ago today there was a vehicle sitting inside the office forcing us to work from home for over 3 months. A lot has changed in the industry this last year, and consumers are being hard hit as well. This can be a nightmare, it's fully preventable...

If you do end up with a frozen pipe, identify where the main shutoff valve is and cut off the flow of water. Next, you should thaw out the pipes by applying heat to the section of frozen pipe by using a hair dryer or an electric heating pad. As you heat the pipe and the ice inside melts, the faucet....

It's the most wonderful time of the year...said no insurance agent ever... A few tips that can save you a giant headache. As the agency principal I'm not only a client, but a client who has had to deal with this personally in the last decade or so. Worth the read....

For areas of the country that deal with bitter cold, snow and ice can bring unwelcomed damage to your home. An example of such damage are ice dams which are ridges of ice that form when heat inside your home enters the attic and melts snow on the roof.
