❤️ Life Have You Curious?

September is Life Insurance Awareness Month—a great time to review your coverage and make sure it still fits your needs and your family’s future.

Whether you’re updating an existing policy or considering coverage for the first time, understanding your options can help you make informed decisions. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Several factors affect the cost and availability of life insurance, including age, health, and the type and amount of coverage. Any guarantees are dependent on the issuing insurance company’s ability to continue making claim payments.

❤️ Could life insurance bring more peace of mind?

A recent survey of more than 2,000 Americans found that people with life insurance reported feeling more financially confident, less stressed, and better rested than those without coverage.

In fact, those with coverage were 46% more likely to feel completely confident about their family’s financial future. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Life insurance isn’t just about what happens after you’re gone—it can also provide peace of mind knowing your loved ones may have financial protection if the unexpected happens. 🛡️❤️

If you haven’t reviewed your coverage recently, it may be worth asking: Is my current life insurance still enough for the life I’m living today? 🤔

A conversation with your financial professional can help you understand your options and determine what may make sense for your family.

💳 Americans are carrying more credit card debt than ever.

U.S. credit card balances reached $1.26 trillion in the second quarter, just shy of the record $1.28 trillion set late last year.

Higher everyday costs, including groceries and gas, along with continued consumer spending, are contributing to rising balances. Delinquencies are also increasing, making debt management an important part of maintaining financial flexibility.

With total U.S. household debt now at $18.8 trillion, it’s a good reminder to keep an eye on spending, interest rates, and monthly payments—and make sure your financial plan can handle the unexpected.

🎓💰 Saving for your child’s future? You may not have to choose just one!

With the new Trump Accounts available, many parents are wondering: Should I use one instead of a 529 plan? 🤔

The answer may be both—but for different goals. A 529 plan is designed specifically for education and offers tax-free withdrawals for qualified education expenses. 🎓📚

Trump Accounts can provide a $1,000 federal contribution for eligible children and are designed more for long-term wealth building. 💵📈

Think of it this way: 529s can help fund education, while Trump Accounts can help build a financial foundation for adulthood. 🏡💼

The right strategy depends on your family’s goals, timeline, and overall financial plan. 🤝

The government will put $1,000 into a Trump Account for eligible newborns. Take it, but remember that college savings will be better off in a 529 plan.

🤖📞 AI Is Changing the Life Insurance Industry

Could your next life insurance question be answered by AI? The industry is increasingly using artificial intelligence to handle routine customer questions, requests, and updates—potentially making service faster and more convenient. ⚡💻

But that doesn’t mean the human side of insurance is disappearing. Complex situations still require judgment, accountability, and a personal touch.

As technology continues to evolve, the future of life insurance may be a combination of smarter technology and trusted human guidance. 🤝📋

It’s an interesting shift—and one we’ll be watching as AI continues to reshape financial services. 📈🔍

AI delivers speed and scale, while humans provide judgment, accountability and empathy where they matter most.

🏠 Moving back home? You’re not alone!

A record number of U.S. adults under 35 are living with their parents. In 2025, 25.2 million adults under 35 lived at home. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

For many, it’s not about putting life on hold—it’s about managing rising costs. 💰 Higher home prices, mortgage rates, rent, student loans, car payments, and everyday expenses can make living independently more challenging. 📈

For some families, moving back home can provide an opportunity to save money, rebuild savings, pay down debt, or simply create some financial breathing room. 💵🏡

Financial independence doesn’t always follow a straight timeline—and that’s okay. The right financial plan can help you make the most of wherever you are in life. 📊✨

🧠 Exciting progress in Alzheimer's research.

A new study suggests a blood test may one day help identify healthy older adults who are at a higher risk of developing Alzheimer's symptoms years before they appear.
The test measures p-tau217, a form of tau connected to Alzheimer’s-related changes in the brain.

Researchers found that symptom-free older adults with very high levels of p-tau217 had a 38% risk of developing cognitive impairment within five years. That risk rose to 78% over 10 years, though researchers noted there is less confidence in the 10-year estimate.

In the meantime, experts continue to recommend healthy habits like regular exercise, quality sleep, a balanced diet, and staying socially active to support long-term brain health. 💙

For many homeowners, the biggest weather risk may no longer be hurricanes. 🤔

New research from First Street found that severe convective storms, including tornadoes, hail, and damaging winds, have become the costliest insured natural disasters worldwide.

In 2025, these storms accounted for one-third of global natural disaster economic losses. Insured and uninsured losses totaled $82 billion, with $68 billion concentrated in the U.S. Hail is the biggest driver of insurance payouts within this category, followed by severe winds.

For homeowners, the growing cost of severe weather can show up in more than repairs. It may also affect insurance premiums, property maintenance, emergency savings, and long-term housing costs.

As weather risks shift, it can be worth reviewing coverage, deductibles, and how prepared your household is for unexpected property damage. 🏡

💰 The penny may be on its way out.

The Common Cents Act has passed the House and now moves to the Senate for consideration. The bill is tied to the phase-out of the penny and would create a national rounding standard for cash transactions.

Under the proposal, cash purchases would be rounded up or down to the nearest five cents when exact change is not available.

For example, a purchase totaling $10.02 would round down to $10.00, while a purchase totaling $10.04 would round up to $10.05.

While it's still awaiting Senate approval, it's a reminder that even small changes to our currency can impact everyday purchases and the way businesses handle cash.

The bill is especially relevant for businesses that handle cash, including restaurants and retailers, because it could reduce confusion and legal risk around exact change.

What do you think—would you miss the penny? 👇
