Delaware has followed in Maryland's footsteps and enacted the Medicare "Birthday" Rule. This allows those on Medicare supplements to have the opportunity to switch their supplement without having to go through medical underwriting, so you cannot be denied. The timeframe is 30 days prior to your birthday and 30 days after.

This is extremely helpful for those with medical issues that would otherwise prevent them from obtaining a new supplement (or the same supplement at a lower cost) with a different carrier.
