As we work 9-to-5, we’re remembering the Tennessee girl who made those words famous.

From a Tennessee mountain home to a voice recognized around the world, Dolly never seemed to forget where she came from.

She gave us plenty to sing about, but even more to remember her for: her kindness, her generosity, her humor, and the pride she brought to Tennessee.

For so many of us across East Tennessee, Dolly was more than a familiar voice. She was part of the shared story of this place, connecting generations, communities, and neighbors through a love for home.

The workday goes on, but the 9-to-5 sounds a little different.
We will always love you, Dolly.

Rhonda Wilson and Callie Freeman had a great time at Meet TWU, welcoming Tennessee Wesleyan University's newest Bulldogs!

We’re excited to have a new group of college students calling Athens home and hope they quickly discover what makes this community such a special place to be!

Usually when someone gets called to the principal’s office, they’re the one in trouble. This time, we turned the tables.

We had the pleasure of surprising Sheryl Debity, Principal of Tellico Plains Elementary, as our second Good Life Educator Checking recognition recipient!

Our educators give so much to their students, their schools, and the communities they serve. This recognition is one small way we can give something back and show our appreciation for the time, care, and commitment they pour into the next generation every day.

Congratulations, Sheryl! Thank you for everything you do for Tellico Plains Elementary School Community and the community you serve.

Sometimes the best ideas begin with a conversation.
We're proud to introduce our new Community Heroes Loan Program.

Our Community Heroes Loan Program started with a local need and grew into a financing option designed specifically to support eligible city and county employees with approved job-related equipment.

For us, being a community bank means more than serving a community. It means listening to the people in it, understanding what they need, and looking for ways we can help.

A special thank you to the City of Sweetwater ( Sweetwater Merchants & Property Owners Association) and the Sweetwater Police Department- TN for working with us to bring this idea to life.

We were glad to surprise Rachael Dalton with the Monroe County Board of Education with an appreciation gift through our Good Life Educator Checking!

It’s always exciting to give back to the people who give so much to our community, and our local educators certainly deserve to be celebrated.

Our Good Life Educator Checking was created specifically with educators in mind, with benefits designed to give a little something back to those who spend their days supporting our students and schools.

Congratulations, Rachael! We hope you enjoy your surprise!
A special shoutout to Trey Ferguson, Director of Exceptional Education for Monroe County Schools TN, for helping us pull off the surprise. Thanks for helping us keep the secret and make Rachael’s recognition extra special!

Please join us in welcoming Jason Housley to the team!

Jason joins our Athens team as VP Commercial Lender, bringing years of banking and financial experience along with something especially important to us: a strong connection to the community he serves.

A native of Athens and lifelong McMinn County resident, Jason knows this community because it is his community. We’re excited to have his experience, local knowledge, and commitment to relationships as part of our team.

Welcome, Jason! We’re glad to have you with us.

When the waters rose, our community stepped up.

Following this weekend’s flooding, our McCaysville branch was fortunate to avoid damage. We know others throughout the area were not as fortunate, and we have seen an incredible response from those working to help our communities recover.

Thank you to the McCaysville and Copperhill city crews, first responders, surrounding volunteer fire departments, utility workers, public officials, local businesses, property owners, volunteers, neighbors, and everyone who has lent a hand.

We are grateful to be part of a place where people continue to show up for one another.
