Please join us in congratulating Kari Phillips as the new Branch Manager of our Sweetwater Branch.

Kari joined Peoples Bank in 2019 as a part-time teller and following the completion of her MBA at Lee University, joined us full-time through the Personal Banker Program. She brings a strong heart for community banking, customer service, and helping others.

Vanessa Lewis is not leaving Peoples Bank. She will be transitioning to our Main Office in Madisonville, where she will take on a broader role within our management team.

During this transition, Vanessa will continue to support the Sweetwater Branch, helping ensure a smooth process for both our customers and staff. Read more at:

As we celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation, we are reminded that strong communities are built by people who show up for one another. Our McCaysville branch is proud to support the Georgia Mountain Classics Car Club and their Community Helping Hand Fund.

Community Helping Hand Fund is a nonprofit that helps families in need and provides support during difficult times. We are grateful for the local organizations and businesses that continue to find meaningful ways to give back to the communities we call home.

We are joining Foster Village East TN for their Back-to-School Donation Drive, and our Athens Branch will be serving as a drop-off location now through June 12th.

Every donation helps support local children in foster and kinship care as they head into a new school year.

We had a “money moment” at our Sweetwater Branch with the 3rd grade classes from Sweetwater Elementary.

Students stopped by to learn more about money, banking, and what happens behind the scenes at a community bank. They even got to see a few stacks of cash up close, which may or may not have made us feel like we were playing real-life Monopoly for a minute.
