I just reviewed a closing statement on a home Rocket Mortgage was the lender on! OMG OMG in my opinion NO one should EVER EVER use them, lender fee's were $7000.00! that is INSANE! Another reason to stay local with me at Guild Mortgage Company HAPPY FRIDAY!

Congress has passed the largest housing affordability bill in decades, with strong bipartisan support.

The goal? Make homeownership more attainable by increasing the supply of homes, reducing some construction costs, and helping communities build housing faster.

The bill also includes restrictions on certain large corporate investors purchasing additional single-family homes, which supporters believe could help level the playing field for families looking to buy.

Will this solve the housing affordability challenge overnight? No. Mortgage rates, inflation, and local market conditions still play a major role. But increasing housing inventory is a step in the right direction and could create more opportunities for future homebuyers.

One important note: The bill has passed both the House and Senate, but it still needs President Trump’s signature before it becomes law.
