🪵 We’re Hiring! Join the Capital Hardwood Team.

Do you love woodworking? Know your way around a jointer, planer, or table saw? Enjoy helping fellow makers bring their projects to life?

Capital Hardwood & Supply is looking for a Part-Time Retail / Mill Shop Associate to join our growing team in Madison.

This is more than a retail job. You’ll help customers choose the right hardwoods, mill lumber to specification, operate professional woodworking equipment, and be part of a small team that genuinely enjoys serving woodworkers. The position begins part-time (15–30 hours/week), with opportunities to grow into a larger role as our business continues to expand.

We’re looking for someone who:
🪚 Has hands-on woodworking experience (professional or hobbyist)
🌳 Knows hardwood lumber and enjoys learning more
🤝 Loves helping customers
💪 Can safely handle lumber and stay active throughout the day
📅 Is available for Saturday shifts and some weekday evenings until 6:00 PM

What you’ll get:

🍻 Beer Break Update

Unfortunately, this month’s Beer Break (scheduled for this Thursday) has been canceled.

With the extreme heat in the shop this week, we’ve decided it’s best to give our team a break and let them go jump in a lake somewhere.

We’ll be back next month with cold drinks, great conversation, and plenty of hardwood inspiration.
