Roth Street Financial

Roth Street Financial Joseph Onopa grew up in the Milwaukee area and moved to Middleton in 2006. I want to make sure my clients avoid any financial failure at all costs.

At Roth Street Financial, you’ll meet retirement professionals who can help you structure everything from your taxes to your investments, so you can build a better financial cushion from the ground up. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a bachelor’s degree in finance and has now worked as a financial advisor for over two decades. Joe holds both Series 65 and Series 66 se

curities licenses, certifying him as a securities agent and an investment advisor representative. In addition, Joe is also licensed to provide life, disability, and long-term care insurance, allowing him to offer the full spectrum of financial services to his clients across the state of Wisconsin. The services Joe provides his clients often include financial planning, portfolio management for individuals and/or small businesses, portfolio management for businesses or institutional clients, pension consulting services, and selection of other advisors when appropriate. Joe offers a free financial consultation to anyone who wants a second opinion or just would like his expertise to reflect on their portfolio.

“When I meet people, I want to get to know them first as individuals and families,” said Joe. “I have to know their personal situation before I ever even think of a recommendation. The first appointment is a high-level overview, just listening to them, and then identifying what I perceive to be issues of concern. In this way, I treat my clients just like my family.”

Away from the office, Joe is a former volunteer with the Middleton Chamber of Commerce. He and his wife Alissa are members of Saint Bernard’s Church and have been married since 2006. Alissa and Joe have two girls and a boy, and Joe does his best to keep up coaching the kids and driving them to their endless sports events.

Rise and shine — is your retirement plan in line? A new day is a great reminder that clarity doesn’t happen by accident. According to Schwab’s 2024 Modern Wealth Survey, only 36% of Americans have a written financial plan, yet those who do are far more likely to feel confident about reaching their financial goals. Your future deserves more than hope, it deserves a plan.

Hard truth: 43% of Americans aged 55–64 have zero retirement accounts. Median balance for the rest? Just $185,000.

That’s not a scare tactic—that’s the data.

At Roth Street Financial, I see this gap every day. The
reasons are real: (no consistent 401(k), life events,
market timing fears), but the window to fix it is closing.

Retirement Income Planning
Despite abundant retirement resources, planning is harder than ever due to inflation and economic shifts. Retirement income planning helps maintain your pre-retirement lifestyle by drawing income from multiple sources such as Social Security, rentals, stocks, or part-time work. At Roth Street Financial, Joe Onopa helps Midwest clients explore options comfortably, providing realistic insights into potential gains and risks.

At Roth Street Financial, Joe Onopa guides Midwest clients toward more efficient strategies. He helps structure portfolios—whether in stocks, real estate, or other assets.

Wealth Management
Wealth is often built gradually, yet it can quickly become difficult to manage on your own. Wealth management strategies help oversee trust planning, taxes, and assets comprehensively. At Roth Street Financial, Joe Onopa assists Midwest clients in Middleton with personalized advice to better control their financial future and protect their family’s legacy.

Efficient Tax Planning
Efficient tax management requires a detailed look at your assets, income, and holdings to keep more of what you earn. A financial advisor structures your taxes holistically, considering your full financial picture. At Roth Street Financial, Joe Onopa helps clients optimize tax strategies and reduce risks through in-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations.

Assets Under Management
Every asset class plays by its own constantly changing rules. Assets under management involves the professional selection, structuring, and maintenance of your portfolio.
